देश में लोकसभा और विधानसभा में महिला आरक्षण लागू करने की तैयारी अंतिम चरण में है। संसद में इसके लिए विधेयक लाया जा रहा है, साथ ही परिसीमन विधेयक के जरिए लोकसभा सीटों की संख्या बढ़ाने की योजना है। इसके असर से संसद और राज्यों की विधानसभाओं की संरचना में बड़ा बदलाव संभव है। राजस्थान में भी विधानसभा सीटों में करीब 50% तक बढ़ोतरी की संभावना जताई जा रही है। बीजेपी प्रदेश अध्यक्ष मदन राठौड़ के अनुसार, सरकार का उद्देश्य महिलाओं को समान अधिकार देना है, जिसके तहत नारी शक्ति वंदन विधेयक लाया जा रहा है।
